We have tried to keep things simple here at Thornensians, we have just one main Club membership for all, and then TWO playing packages available, one for Seniors, one for Juniors, all with different discounts available to them depending on what your family subscribes to. see below for details.

Why Is This Package Required?
As the core membership tier, this package must be purchased first before unlocking any additional category.
- Adult Players require this membership to purchase the playing package.
- At least 1 parent or Guardian of Junior Playing Members are required to purchase this membership, This structure ensures all members are part of the Thornensians community and helps us comply with RFU regulations, which state that all junior players must be linked to a registered adult member.

Purchase a Club Membership for your Spouse or Partner at the same time and receive a £15 discount.
It’s a great way to support the club together while saving money.

This membership is payable via yearly Direct Debit, taken:

On or around the date of signup

And then annually on or around the 1st September

- This membership has superseeded the previous Development Fund/Century Club. Don't Worry, If you have already paid your mermbership for this, you will automatically be transferred over and can start benefitting from the discounts straight away!
⚠️ Cancelling your Direct Debit will result in withdrawal of membership benefits, including cancellation of any secondary memberships attached.

Senior Playing Membership
Thornensians RUFC is pleased to offer the Senior Playing Membership Package for this season – the ideal solution for players looking to get the most from their rugby experience while saving money over the season.
Please note: This package is available only to members who have already purchased the Club Membership (£30). If you haven’t yet secured your Club Membership, be sure to do so first to unlock access to this and other add-on packages.
Cost & Payment
- One-off payment of £165 or 12 monthly instalments of £15 (in addition to the £30 Club Membership)
- No weekly match or training subs – everything is covered!
- Charges run from September to August
What’s Included in the Senior Playing Membership:
- Basic RFU player insurance
- All match and training subs included
- Access to qualified coaching staff
- Access to qualified physiotherapy support
- Full use of changing and shower facilities
- Post-match meals provided after games
- All the benefits of your Club Membership – including bar discounts, event offers, England ticket ballot access, and more!
Important Notes:
- RFU GMS Player Registration must still be completed via your individual GMS portal – this is not included in your club membership.
- Players who have not paid for this membership will be charged £15 per match, payable before kick-off.
With 22+ games across league, cup, and friendly fixtures, it’s clear – not signing up could cost you far more over the season.

Junior Playing Membership
Thornensians RUFC is proud to offer the Junior Playing Membership Package for the upcoming season. This package is perfect for young players looking to develop their rugby skills in a supportive, well-structured club environment – and it’s designed with affordability and family value in mind.
Eligibility & Requirements
This package is available only to members whose parent or guardian has already purchased the Club Membership (£30). This structure ensures compliance with RFU regulations, which require all junior players to be linked to a registered adult member of the club.
Only one Club Membership is required per family – no matter how many siblings play!
Cost & Payment
- First Child: 12 monthly Instalments of £15 (£180) or pay £165 in full and get one month free.
- Second Child Onwards: 12 monthly Instalments of £10 (£120) or pay £110 in full.
- SPECIAL: If a parent or guardian purchases a Senior Playing Membership at the same time, their first child receives the discounted “second child” rate. (Select the First Child package — discount applied automatically at checkout.)

Joining Mid-Season? Let’s Talk!
If you're a new junior player joining partway through the season, speak to a member of the team – we’ll adjust the membership price to reflect the time remaining. We’re always excited to welcome new young players to the Thornensians family!
Don’t forget – RFU GMS Player Registration must still be completed via your personal GMS portal. This step is not included in the club's membership process.
