Summer AGM 2026 – Nominations Now Open for Club Roles
Thornensians RUFC is pleased to confirm that nominations are now open for a number of key volunteer and committee positions ahead of our Summer AGM.
As a volunteer-led community rugby club, the continued success of the club relies on the dedication, passion and support of people across our rugby family and wider community. Whether you are already involved or looking to support the club for the first time, this is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of Thornensians RUFC both on and off the pitch.
Roles Available for Nomination
Roles currently available include:
- Chairperson
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Committee Members
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Marketing & Sponsorship Manager
- Fundraising Manager
- Fixtures Secretary
- Referee Coordinator
- Coaching Coordinator
- Director of Rugby
- Data Officer
- Membership Secretary
- Events Coordinator
- RugbySafe Lead
- Safeguarding Officer
- Disciplinary Secretary
- Age Grade Chair
- Women & Girls Lead
Alongside these formal positions, we are always looking for additional volunteers to support:
- Matchdays and events
- Social media and communications
- Sponsorship and fundraising
- Team management
- Facilities and maintenance
- Recruitment and community engagement
- Player welfare and safeguarding
Currently, a number of committee members and volunteers are carrying out several roles across the club to help keep everything running smoothly. While this dedication is hugely appreciated, the current committee would very much welcome nominations and support across any of the available positions to help spread responsibilities and continue moving the club forward in a positive and sustainable way.
