💙🖤 WE DID IT! THORNENSIANS CROWDFUNDER HITS 100% – BUT WE’RE NOT STOPPING THERE!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our British Gas – Energy for Tomorrow Crowdfunder. We’ve reached our original target, and now we’re aiming even higher!

What an incredible achievement! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our players, families, members, supporters, local community and businesses, Thornensians RUFC has reached 100% of its original Crowdfunder target!

Every donation, share and show of support has helped us get here, and we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed. Your support means a great deal to our club and demonstrates just how much Thornensians means to the people around it.

But why stop here?

Our new stretch target: £39,000!

Following the success of our original fundraising campaign, we've now introduced a new stretch target of £39,000, giving us the opportunity to raise even more money to invest in the future of Thornensians RUFC.

One of the projects we're looking to support with this additional funding is the installation of new LED floodlights on our training pitch. 💡🏉

We're delighted to have already secured £7,448 from Sport England towards this project, which has a total cost of £15,000. Additional fundraising would help us move closer to delivering these improvements for our players and wider membership.

Why do we need new LED floodlights?

With hundreds of players using our facilities every week, maintaining and improving our pitches is essential to keeping rugby accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for the future.

New LED floodlights would provide:

• Improved lighting coverage across the training pitch.

• Greater energy efficiency, helping reduce energy consumption.

• Better use of available playing space, allowing us to make more of our facilities.

• More flexibility for training, with the ability to rotate training areas around the pitch.

• Better pitch protection, helping reduce concentrated wear and tear during the winter months.

• Improved facilities for our growing membership.

This investment would help us look after our pitches, make better use of our facilities and continue providing opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy rugby at Thornensians.

You can still donate!

Although we've reached our original target, our Crowdfunder is still open, and every additional donation will help us work towards our new stretch target.

Whether you can contribute a little or a lot, every pound raised is an opportunity to invest back into our club and community.

If you've already donated, thank you once again! You can still help by sharing our Crowdfunder with friends, family, colleagues and local businesses to spread the word even further.
