Thornensians RUFC would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Summer Ball 2026 and helped make it such a fantastic evening.
Held in our beautiful marquee overlooking the pitch, the event brought together players, members, volunteers, sponsors, friends and supporters from across the club for a celebration of another successful season. The atmosphere throughout the night perfectly reflected what Thornensians RUFC is all about – friendship, community and creating lasting memories both on and off the field.
Guests enjoyed an outstanding three-course meal provided by The Homemade Food Company, who once again delivered exceptional food and service throughout the evening. From start to finish, their team ensured everyone was looked after, helping to create a fantastic experience for all our guests. Having also catered for a private function the previous weekend, they have become firm favourites and come highly recommended by everyone who attended.
A huge thank you to Bri the DJ, who helped create the perfect atmosphere from the moment guests arrived. The beautiful Bridgerton-inspired music on arrival added a touch of elegance to the evening and set the tone perfectly for the celebrations ahead. As the night progressed, Bri seamlessly switched gears, keeping the dancefloor packed with an excellent mix of crowd-pleasing tunes that ensured the party continued long into the night.
A very special thank you goes to The Bowkers – Jason, Matt, Lucas and Justine – whose fantastic live performance helped make the evening truly memorable. Their energy, talent and ability to get everyone involved created an incredible atmosphere, with the marquee full of singing, dancing and smiling faces throughout their set. They played a huge part in making the Summer Ball the success that it was and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

We would also like to thank our Bar Manager and her team for their hard work throughout the evening. Their friendly service, professionalism and commitment helped ensure guests were well looked after all night and contributed greatly to the success of the event.
A massive thank you must also go to the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event possible. From setting up and decorating the marquee in the days leading up to the event, to ensuring everything ran smoothly on the night and returning the following day to tidy up, your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. The venue looked fantastic and was a credit to everyone involved. Events like this simply could not happen without the commitment and support of our volunteers.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening such a success. The Summer Ball was a wonderful reminder of our club motto: One Club, One Family, One Community.
